As I was listening to an online program from a European radio station today, I heard a report about a brand new photo-sharing program called Snapchat. This program allows users to send messages (including pictures) which self-delete within a time period established by the sender usually a couple of seconds.
Snapchat was initially considered to be something of a means to fix the problem of sexting, where young folks take nude photos of themselves to send to someone, only to have the pictures inadvertently forwarded to others. The War Against Nudist Camps For Children
Nudist Camps and Naturist Children: America continues to be stunned recently by the horrendous claims about child abuse at Penn State University. Scandals involving sexual molestation of children have rocked many of our most revered institutions, such as the Boy Scouts, the Catholic Church and in our schools. It's clear that child abuse is a societal problem, not limited to any particular organization or association. Even the naturist people continues to be victimized by those who exploit children for sexual purposes, although it is very uncommon.
Any individual or group planning naturist actions must be aware of the present cultural climate, which will be becoming increasingly intolerant of any activities involving kids who could be misconstrued as being improper or harmful. Naturists believe that folks of all ages should have the ability to participate in nude recreation, that rejecting shame as it pertains to the body is beneficial to physical, mental and sexual health. The existence of children is an essential element of the doctrine, and to remove them from naturist activities would significantly redefine the modern movement which began in Germany in 1903.
From what I read, children are safer at naturist resorts than in scout camps, church groups or malls. Most nudist resorts are gated communities. Members and guests are screened for unlawful activity. Children have many people searching for them, adults and other children. Since naturist kids are generally comfortable with their bodies, they would not be hesitant to report any tactics to them with which they're uncomfortable. For these reasons, children are quite safe from maltreatment in naturist places.
Naturist Kids
In January of 2010, acting on an anonymous criticism, The Florida State Department of Children and Families paid a visit to Sunsport Gardens. In Florida, naturists took actions, meeting right with Congressman Foley, and gradually the problem faded away, surely due in part to the political strength of the naturist inhabitants in Pasco County. Governor Jeb Bush's office released a statement saying The rights of parents to impart their values inside their kids and raise their kids as they see fit are holy."

There were also finally no political consequences in Arizona, but in February of 2004 the Virginia House of Delegates voted 98-1 to require parental supervision at camps for young naturists, later approved by the Senate 40-0. The single vote was against the act because the bill did not go far enough. In 2005 a bill was introduced to alter the language in the naturist camp laws, which would have effectively banned children from all naturist and naturist places, but that legislation was tabled for future thought.

In addition, some folks in the social activist world were upset by the comment you made about not wanting to see yourself nude, since it contributes to the whole body pity & body image issues that afflict many individuals today.

The gist of the opinions was that AANR came off appearing like a small kid who is desperate for attention along with being an organization that does not know how to take constructive criticism (and of course the fact that AANR gave the feeling they have given up on attracting the younger generation and today cater to the baby boomers).

Note from Jordan & Felicity: About two months ago, we were contacted by a film student from Pratt Institute. Her name was Dana, so that as her final project for one of her classes, she desired to make a brief documentary about FKK / naturism.
We consented to get it done in exchange for her writing an article about her experience in making the picture. So this is her story below, along with her documentary by the end!

Nudist Documentary - My first encounter with documentary filmmaking presented a chance to force myself out of my comfort zone and research something I had never done before. My taste is definitely story, fiction film, and the assignment of a 5-10 minute documentary by my Nonfiction Avi professor made me queasy and sweaty with tension.
Don't make it about your roommate and how much they love pizza, my professor implored the class.
I froze in my bed as this thought crystallized into a job suggestion: an investigation of modern nudists in Ny and how they lived their lives within society.
The endeavor immediately began to come together within my mind's eye as I reached for my telephone to begin my research. Suddenly I hit a wall. It was the middle of October now, and my thought fell apart as fast as it had been built up. I backtracked, dejected and unenthused, to the topic of colorblindness and landed on this as the subject for my movie. It was boring, but at least it wasn't seasonal.
On proposal day in class, I determined to present the concept for my nudist movie anyhow, to ensure my professor could see that I was more fascinating than my colorblind project suggested. I shared the idea with my course, as well as the barriers I had ran into, and explained why I would be unable to carry this project out. The entire class, who seemed to have tuned me out while I talked about colorblindness, abruptly pricked their ears as I told them my initial thought.
You have to do that job, my classmates told me, with more earnestness than I Had ever received from them. I looked to my professor for help, and he stared at me also. It actually does seem wonderful, he said.
I argued with them for a little while as they threw their ideas at me. They insisted that there had to be a remedy.
Speak with the people who run a resort even if they are not functioning right now, one classmate said. I asked her what I 'd film in that case other than the interviews.
A movie about nudism should really have nude people inside it, shouldn't it? I asked them. We went back and forth like this for a while before my professor stopped us.
Just consider girl at beach , he explained. The colorblind thing sounds good. But the nudism seems really great.
With that, I was done for. Finally, Google rewarded me with the Nudist Portal site.
Everything about FKK was so welcoming that I was instantly comfortable, and I'm easily made uneasy generally in most situations. They talked about naturism and naturism the way I might tell someone my feelings for artwork and my pets. It was clear how dear their assignment was to them, and how important it was to them to remove the stigma surrounding nudity, and I immediately found my own feelings about it-that it should be private and allowed for a few very specific scenarios-coming into question.
Soon I was harassed with a few very real dilemmas. For starters, I am already quite nervous at the idea of talking to strangers (my parents had to order my food for me in restaurants until I was about 16). https://s3.amazonaws.com/ff-naturist/nudist-family-pics.html worried that, within my ignorance of this subject that I was so new to, I'd say or ask something accidentally offensive and they might despise me. I also worried that they might be too weird for me to cope with and I 'd have to back from the commitment I was planning to make with them, another thought that gives me heart palpitations.
My fears were all for naught.
I walked from my first meeting with Felicity and Jordan astounded at one basic fact: They were so pleasant, I told my friends when I got home. The pair had clarified their no-judgment way of life to me, and I could tell they weren't saying it the way other people say it; they really meant it. I understand I'm not like that, and I could not think of a single reason why.
The day we filmed, I kept finding myself thinking: This all looks so normal. I found my dialog with Jordan more stimulating than anything I 'd learned from my school professors previously year-and-a-half, and with Felicity I felt like I was speaking to a friend, one who merely did not happen to be wearing clothes. And I believe all three of us expected me to be uncomfortable, but I truly was not.
Everyone I told about my job was incredibly curious about it. Between October and December, I believe the question I got asked the most was: How is it going with the naturists? It appeared that everyone expected some sort of scandal, for me to be taken captive and forced to join a naked cult or something. I was almost smug at how small dirt I had for them. The whole experience even got me working on my own body image problems and other private stuff that I've never actually thought about before.
And to anyone who still asks me, when talking about my endeavor, Was Not that really difficult? all I can do is shrug and answer honestly: No.

Being Naked and Naturism Improves Self-Esteem - My response was, "Now that is the wrong attitude!"
Have you ever had somebody else envy the body, complain about specific parts of their bodies, or judge themselves out loud? They say things like, "I'm so fat," "I wanna get extremely lanky / I need to drop some weight," "I need to have a flat belly." I've undoubtedly spent an excessive amount of time trying to convince buddies with low self esteem that they were not "fat," that their body and size were "normal," and that they didn't need to lose weight.
But https://s3.amazonaws.com/ff-naturist/public-nudism.html is not that simple to change how other folks feel about their bodies. Some people, when they look in the mirror, start judging and criticizing themselves about every little flab and defect.
You may think that since I grew up as a nudist that I Had have great self esteem and effortlessly feel good about my body. I did spend many of my summers in social nudism, but the remaining year I was living in the fabric world. I was really timid and insecure (admittedly still just a little shy sometimes). I was and still am skinny, but that did not keep me from judging my own body and living with a fear of becoming fat.
I had this dreadful mental habit of comparing my own body to those of other girls, in the ones I saw in real life to the versions in the magazines, to figure out what I should seem like. Am I as scrawny as she is? I wish I 'd straighter lines in my personal figure like her. My friend, who also grew up as a naturist, developed an eating disorder in faculty, in spite of her deep engagement in nudism. It just goes to reveal how invasive the lanky=amazing idea is. Additionally, did anyone enter school in fear of gaining the "Freshman 15"? It does not even exist.
Naturism Enhances Self-Esteem
Folks of any shape and size can feel horrible, inadequate and overweight, and so many young women (and men, but less so) are obsessed with getting skinny.

Many thanks, Ashley Judd, for lately standing up against the absurd puffy-face accusations and using it for dialogue about the objectification of women. She brings up a great point: women judge each other and participate in patriarchy, also!
But wait! You do not have to listen to all those messages telling you you're not good enough, need to diet, or want plastic surgery! I need to share this amazing mp4 from Laci Green, sex-positive blogger and sex-ed teacher, about having better self-esteem. gattina redclouds can really make a difference. Most women's magazines are completely focused on beauty / weight-loss advice (based on the assumption which you're never good enough), in addition to selling the products to help you with that.
Don't even be misled by the ones that print a little body-positive material because the rest of the magazine will contradict it. There are a couple of good magazines out there, though. I urge Break magazine and Bitch magazine. No matter what magazine you are reading, it's good to remind yourself that all Pictures on its pages have been airbrushed, edited and photoshopped (unless they explicitly say that they don't engage in this practice). You are not looking at reality.
Also be mindful of what you see on TV. Notice which TV shows make you feel more self-conscious and / or cause negative thoughts about your body. You don't understand what messages you are subconsciously picking up from advertisements while you are sleeping or otherwise occupied.
Notice next time you find yourself participating in "fat talk" with your pals. Merely determine not to accomplish that anymore. Tell your friends it just makes you and them feel bad. Alter the issue. Begin finding your internal mind chatter, too, because you can learn to control your ideas.
If you find yourself criticizing another person's body, nullify that idea and find a beautiful part instead. You wouldn't want someone criticizing you like that, would you? By judging others, you are dis-empowering them and yourself. Whenever a negative thought comes up, change it to your favorable one. Tell yourself that you do not need to think these ideas anymore. Develop a couple positive statements (aka avowals) that one may say to yourself every day, such as: My body is a good body. I will be proud of what my body can do. I love and value myself. The greatest way to do this really is to start with statements that you simply don't have a hard time considering.
As an example, "I love my body" might too much to begin with. Your mind yak might say, "No, I actually hate it!" So you could start with something else like, My body deserves love, Be gentle with yourself. It takes a bit of time to eliminate negative thinking, especially when you've been replicating specific thoughts for quite a long time.

And my favourite piece of guidance from Laci: Get Nude! If you're not a naturist, you can begin going bare at home. Afterward, I think one of the BEST ways to feel good about yourself would be to see the beautiful, uncensored bodies of folks in real life who are confident and comfortable just as they are. That is one reason I adore naturism.

Bob's Burgers Unclothed Beach Episode Gets It Right (Nearly)

I'm a huge fan of the popular animation sitcom, Bob's Burgers.
The show is amusing, first, and most unexpectedly, sex-positive. (The sex-positive approaches reveal through the three kids characters as well as the parents' attitudes towards sexuality.) It is called "Naked Beach."
In this episode, Bob has issues with his restaurant health inspectors and at the same time, a nude beach opens up in town. It starts out with Hugo, his usual nemesis health inspector, who gives bob's burgers a "C" rating after Bob neglects to reveal his "hand washing certification." The family asks Hugo and his partner who they are going to harass next when the following dialog ensues:
Hugo: "Good Bob if you must understand perhaps you've heard our town is now home to a disgusting unclothed beach! There have been reports of vendors there serving food while n-n-naked."
Tina: "That's how the vendors served food in the Bible."
Hugo: "Don't bring faith into this!"
The Bible remark is funny, but I know it does not look like we are off to a great beginning. https://s3.amazonaws.com/b-naturist/beach-fuck.html got the standard "ew, gross" comment about naked folks at a unclothed beach. But it gets better!
Linda appears happy about the unclothed beach and inquires Bob when they'll get to go. Bob answers, "Bare beaches are filled with heavy, out of shape old bodies and I do not wanna go there and realize I appear just like that."

All the backdrop characters presumed to be girls are covering their chests in some way or they're strategically blocked. We're talking about two flesh-coloured dots. Is the Fox network fearful to lose their patrons over two dots? Or is this the FCC shielding everyone from animation dots? It's quite laughable either manner.
Meanwhile, Tina, Louise and Gene go to take a look at the plage from a distance. They hash-out an agenda to carve out an overlook on the cliff with a view of the naked beach and sell "nudity tours to teenage boys." Gene says, "It Is like the Internet but outside!" This really is a fine wink to the fact that children are not permitted at the strand, but nude folks and even pornography is so easily seen online.

While the children are active with their master plan, Linda and Gretchen are hanging out at the beach. They see a drum circle and Linda is shocked to recognize one of the drummers - it's Nude Hugo! The health inspector discovered he loved the nude beach.
Back at the restaurant, Linda tells Bob about Hugo, and the children casually show their strategies for earning money off the naked beach. Here the parents express their tacit acceptance of the children seeing nudity. While they abide by the sand's 18 rule, they have no difficulty with the kids looking from a distance. Bob simply wants them good luck.
At school, the children work on enticing their classmates into seeing the naked folks at the nude beach. They also develop a brand new partner, Daryl, who has a telescope they are able to use. Another day they have a line of youngsters ready to pay $1 each to get a peak. Daryl sells it with a little mantra - "Look by means of this tube, see some boob. Gimme the green, see some peen."

However once the other kids get a peek, they are disappointed in seeing "gross" old people. Louise takes charge of the situation and changes their perspective with a wonderful sales pitch: "You guys! You're looking at this the wrong way! You wanna see fine bodies, get a magazine. That is real, people! Check out that guy! What is that, is a liver spot? Is a birth mark? Who understands! You can't write this garbage!"
Her pitch revives interest, and the youthful customers line up to see real life naked folks. The activity continues to be a bit voyeuristic, but now the kids are excited to see the nude bodies they do not get to see otherwise. Typical nudity in films and magazines is confined to one body type and one fake homogenized appearance. Here, ironically, the kids have to observe a unclothed beach from afar and through a lens to see real bodies.

Bob figures his only hope to fix everything is to get Hugo to return to his job. He ends up competing with Hugo in the "Nudecathalon" - their nude Olympics at the naked beach, with 27 actions that contained a two-legged race, long jump, tug-a-war and wrestling.
Up on the cliff, the Belcher kids get a surprise in seeing their own dad nude on the plage. Louise is disturbed and drastically covers her eyes. Tina remarks "I believe father seems quite good considering he's had 3 kids." But they keep watching the Nudecathalon and shortly they're swept up in the excitement and cheer on Bob to win.

The show is amusing, first, and most unexpectedly, sex-positive. (The sex-positive approaches reveal through the three kids characters as well as the parents' attitudes towards sexuality.) It is called "Naked Beach."
In this episode, Bob has issues with his restaurant health inspectors and at the same time, a nude beach opens up in town. It starts out with Hugo, his usual nemesis health inspector, who gives bob's burgers a "C" rating after Bob neglects to reveal his "hand washing certification." The family asks Hugo and his partner who they are going to harass next when the following dialog ensues:
Hugo: "Good Bob if you must understand perhaps you've heard our town is now home to a disgusting unclothed beach! There have been reports of vendors there serving food while n-n-naked."
Tina: "That's how the vendors served food in the Bible."
Hugo: "Don't bring faith into this!"

2013 Summer Solstice Bare Hiking & Skinny Dipping Trip

Mother Nature couldn't have put on a better show of her natural wonders for us during our summer solstice hike.
Introductions were made at the meeting point while we waited for everyone to dribble in. A short drive after we came to the parking lot by the trail head. The 17 year cicadas greeted us with their musical mating calls. They continued to sing all day, much like crickets at night, but with a sleeker more peaceful sound that can readily be left undetected in the background.
Unclothed Hiking at Mountain Laurel by the Lake
After several words from our primary guide our trek began. Right up a steep rocky rise for several hundred yards. I've hiked lots of mountains so I'd truly say it was a speedy average incline, but for the less started it demonstrated a slow start. Nonetheless, our two first time guides proved worthy of the function. Most of the remaining excursion was much more level and while we did spread out a bit from time to time our guides kept us corralled. But it did give me a chance to float back and forth and fall in with a couple of distinct individuals for some friendly conversation.
I was secretly hoping to see one on the trip, but not quite as close as I got to it this day. Certainly one of our two fearless four legged companions named "Wolf" was sniffing through the short green undergrowth about two feet to the left of the individual before me when he made a lurching hop back on the trail. A timber rattlesnake was attempting to conceal while we passed by. I instantly stopped in my tracks and shouted "STOP" and everyone halted. I have never seen a timber rattlesnake before, but I could tell you, more in relation to the markings, there's no mistaking that rattling tail when it slithers past you. Luckily he immediately turned deeper into the woods and stopped about ten feet from your trail under a little bush. There he poked his head from your under growth and watched us until we left.

I 've never seen this kind of curious but delightful sight. https://s3.amazonaws.com/z-naturist/beach-femdom.html was encompassed by Mountain Laurel in bloom with pink blossoms. The swimming spot was empty so a few decided to jump in for a quick cool down before continuing. While we waited the cicadas finally determined to make an appearance. "They truly do seem alien," Felicity laughed, as she snapped an image of one that had landed on my shoulder. They continued to float down on us now and then through the day, and provided the dogs with some entertainment as they chomped at them.
Our guide told us that the remainder of our trail was used much less and one member said, "How often do I get to say I hiked naked!" as she undressed. I completely concurred and in several seconds my clothes were off. So for few of us the second leg of our day not only turned into a skinny dipping adventure, but also a nude hiking, also known as "free hiking," excursion. About a half mile later, just before we reached our destination certainly one of my fellow nude hikers only in front of me waved her hand in the air and called out "Hi!!!" I looked over and saw two hikers viewing somewhat befuddled as we passed. I grinned and carried on with no hitch, content and unashamed, joyful to be dressed in nothing but nature. I imagine they had a story to tell when they got home. But maybejust possibly that https://s3.amazonaws.com/z-naturist/blondes-on-a-beach.html and hi from a nude hiker is all the love it will take to inspire one of them to locate and join us for the following hike. And after all "It's About The Love," correct!

Finally we reached our destination. We spent the day only at that hot lake in the woods, exercising, skinny dipping, sunning, and enjoying each other's company. We even saw two other skinny dippers down the way. Half the group stayed for two hours before leaving, the rest of us remained for almost four hours before packing up to head back.
I do not think it could have been any less perfect of a day! Many thanks to our personal digital assistants and guide who did a brilliant job. I 'm already looking forward to another excursion.

11 Interview Questions From A Naturist Blogger in Spain About Nudism in America

I was recently contacted by a nudist blogger named Deucalion Holmes to do an interview. Deucalion lives in Spain and manages an internet group called Nudistas de Murcia - nudists of Murcia, Spain. Then he interpreted the interview into Spanish on his website, Eco naturismo. We thought we'd share the English version of our Q&A with our community.

I was raised a fkk with my family at a club called Rock Lodge in New Jersey. For the first two years of my life, my family lived full-time in the club. Afterward they purchased a house in a (cloth) neighborhood nearby, and Rock Lodge became our summer place. It actually is only a seasonal club that shuts down in the chillier months. A couple of times per year, I Had also go to Gunnison Beach with buddies, which is the large nude beach in NJ.

2. Is it true that some universities in the U.S. are open to hold fkk events and actions?
Yes, though the events and actions that come to mind aren't run by nudists or referred to as "nudist" events. For example, some universities have a traditional, yearly streaking event where a group of pupils will run around naked across the campus, just for fun. https://s3.amazonaws.com/w-naturist/nudism-porn.html are known for having naked parties (arranged by pupils, not the university itself). As for more official occasions, Brown University for example hosts an annual week-long event called "Nudity in the Upspace." During this week, they have lectures, discussions, naked yoga, body painting and other tasks.
I don't know of any official university naturist club, but I'll bet at least some universities would be open to having one in their roll of official clubs.
3 . What do you do in America to get young people interested in the naturist lifestyle?
Essentially we do a lot of online marketing and social media, and we cater our occasions toward the younger demographic. We organize workshops and classes, too as fun activities like our big slip n' slide and pudding toss. We additionally have a naturist philosophy with ethos and values, not for the lone purpose of bringing young folks but I believe that does appeal to my generation (I am 26). I believe it attracts more people in general when you put meaning behind nudism, in place of merely saying, "Let's all get nude cause it's fun." Of course it is fun, and there are many "recreational nudists" who just like being nude, but to us, naturism is about more than that. At the most fundamental level, it is about acceptance.

4. How was the experience of Body Paint and Actions Artwork in Time Square?

I've enjoyed being a model each and every time. It's exhilarating, a bit extreme on occasion, but it's an excellent expression of freedom and body approval shared with the city and really, with the world, also. Without a doubt it's a positive impact both on the folks that see it as well as those who participate in it.
5. Tell us something about the fkk comedy show you helped to create.
Oh, the comedy show was a fun occasion. The comics were quite cool, and had no trouble performing in front of a naked crowd. One even determined to get nude during his act!
Then we'd Dave Attell, an extremely renowned comedian, join the show. He normally charges a ton of money to perform, but came to our event because he believed it was cool. So that was awesome.
6. Have you ever been to Spain?
It was during the winter (but not too chilly). I loved it!
Someday I'd like to go back to Spain and see more.
7. In which places is nudism let in the United States?
Well there are over 200 private clubs and resorts across the U.S., though some states do not have any clubs / resorts.
We have very few public nude beaches compared to European nations, but they do exist. Regrettably, it is hard to create awesome nude beaches, and the ones we've are regularly endangered by local officials wishing to shut them down (simply because they do not enjoy it). That is why we have organizations like the Naturist Action Committee that fights anti-nudity legislation and lobbies for naturists.
And lastly, there are the unofficial, technically illegal, spots at beaches or recreation areas. This includes places that have a longstanding tradition of skinny dipping, and it's taken by town or city. But other times it mightn't be as accepted as a tradition, and folks would say, "Get nude at your own danger."

Nudists need to be a bit more careful at the unofficial places and do their research ahead. Being caught naked in an illegal place can lead to fines or even arrest and jail time. In some states, public nudity charges can cause a person being registered as a sex offender, which is a huge issue.
Occasionally nudists are even persecuted for being nude within their home or on their own property, if others see them. I know I am making the U.S. sound like a terrible place! Haha. But I'm sure you understand this country is rather backwards as it pertains to nudity.
8. Is nudism let in American shores?
Not at most beaches, no. Other nude beaches are unofficial and technically illegal, but have some type of naked custom.
9. How easy is it for fkk American families to find enough affordable places, where they can let their kids to practice it?
Families do the exact same material as routine nudists. In terms of affordable spots, that can be challenging. And sometimes the challenge is not the cost, but finding a spot that is family-oriented / family-friendly. Or locating a spot that is "family-oriented" and really has other families present. A lot of clubs like to say they're family-friendly, but unfortunately clubs have seen a decline in families with children seeing or becoming members. I seen a decline in children at my own home club, Rock Lodge, as I grew up. Nevertheless that appears to be changing there, and they seem to have had an increase in families over the last few years. Whatever nudist-nudist , most places will let children under 18 in for free. So that helps with the cost. To attend a plage remains much more affordable for a family, but you've got to be lucky to live near a legal nude beach.
10.Do you believe all beaches and lakes should be clothes-optional, or you'd rather have separated areas for nudists and for fabrics?
Distinguish areas. I really believe this is what works best, for both naturists and bathing-suit people. Someday in the far future, perhaps it will be possible to have all regions be clothing-optional and everyone will be fine with nudity and honor one another. But for now, we need to have independent areasthe most basic rationale being that so many people still get offended by nudity.

We have very few public nude beaches compared to European nations, but they do exist. Regrettably, it is hard to create awesome nude beaches, and the ones we've are regularly endangered by local officials wishing to shut them down (simply because they do not enjoy it). That is why we have organizations like the Naturist Action Committee that fights anti-nudity legislation and lobbies for naturists.
And lastly, there are the unofficial, technically illegal, spots at beaches or recreation areas. This includes places that have a longstanding tradition of skinny dipping, and it's taken by town or city. But other times it mightn't be as accepted as a tradition, and folks would say, "Get nude at your own danger."

Nudists need to be a bit more careful at the unofficial places and do their research ahead. Being caught naked in an illegal place can lead to fines or even arrest and jail time. In some states, public nudity charges can cause a person being registered as a sex offender, which is a huge issue.
Occasionally nudists are even persecuted for being nude within their home or on their own property, if others see them. I know I am making the U.S. sound like a terrible place! Haha. But I'm sure you understand this country is rather backwards as it pertains to nudity.
8. Is nudism let in American shores?
Not at most beaches, no. Other nude beaches are unofficial and technically illegal, but have some type of naked custom.
9. How easy is it for fkk American families to find enough affordable places, where they can let their kids to practice it?
Families do the exact same material as routine nudists. In terms of affordable spots, that can be challenging. And sometimes the challenge is not the cost, but finding a spot that is family-oriented / family-friendly. Or locating a spot that is "family-oriented" and really has other families present. A lot of clubs like to say they're family-friendly, but unfortunately clubs have seen a decline in families with children seeing or becoming members. I seen a decline in children at my own home club, Rock Lodge, as I grew up. Nevertheless that appears to be changing there, and they seem to have had an increase in families over the last few years. Whatever nudist-nudist , most places will let children under 18 in for free. So that helps with the cost. To attend a plage remains much more affordable for a family, but you've got to be lucky to live near a legal nude beach.
10.Do you believe all beaches and lakes should be clothes-optional, or you'd rather have separated areas for nudists and for fabrics?
Distinguish areas. I really believe this is what works best, for both naturists and bathing-suit people. Someday in the far future, perhaps it will be possible to have all regions be clothing-optional and everyone will be fine with nudity and honor one another. But for now, we need to have independent areasthe most basic rationale being that so many people still get offended by nudity.

What does this say about AANR's pick to host their recent AANR-East convention there? Some might contend that the "credible voice for unclothed recreation" includes swingers (since they do like to participate in nude recreation albeit, in a sexual nature)

During the course of my investigation I remembered a story that one friend had told me a few months ago. She said that while seeing an AANR club (in the ability of her AANR standing) she determined to take a walk on one of the trails through the woods. As she was walking alone, she happened upon a small group of people who determined it was an excellent area for a nature sex session. The folks viewed her and rather than try and hide their behavior, they invited her to join in. Evidently, she was quite shocked by their conduct along with the invite. This is among the clubs that has become a well known swinger's harbor and point of contact.
So, this begs the question why would AANR remove a club like Lupin for hosting (not promoting) a private event after which turn a blind eye to others?
I would like to be quite clear as I do not need this article to be chosen the wrong means.
I do not have an issue with lifestyle groups, naturist resorts and so forth. I do have an issue with misinformation or disinformation that creates unneeded play and without official statements or motives given to mitigate it.
Unfortunately, the naturist world is anything but see-through (quite the dichotomy). Replies are infrequently given and information is handled like national security and just people that have the proper security clearance are privy to the facts.
I get criticized for using a pen name, but I don't hide. I stand behind what I say and do, 100%. I also am not afraid to admit when I am wrong something that is certainly genuinely lacking in nudie leaders now.
I wrote about naturist organizations a while back. I outlined their goals and mission statements and asked people, especially due paying members to hold us all up to higher standards (FKK included). By paying dues, individuals are in essence casting their vote and showing support. But few are the people who really call up, email or engage the organizations they selected to finance. At least that way, my money will go towards enhancing the facilities as an alternative to going towards a political statement). But that is my personal selection I vote with my money and actions as do all folks.
So in closing, I want to say that from what I have seen (after visiting Lupin) and after speaking with countless individuals over the last month, I don't have any qualms with supporting Lupin Lodge. I shall go one step farther and say that their modern strategy and use of technology is quite refreshing. They even use twitter - and use it nicely!
I might love to have Young Naturist events at Lupin and if we ever can establish a point person in the area, Lupin would be an awesome spot to work with! They may be wonderful folks, have awesome facilities, exquisite nature trails and lots of fun tasks. In addition they will be accepting FKK memberships and extending discounts to our members.
